Santa Monica State Beach is a California State Park operated by the city of Santa Monica. At 3.5 miles long, Santa Monica State Beach is a heavily trafficked location for its beauty and entertainment offerings. Unfortuntaely, high foot traffic has resulted in a large amount of trash left in the sand. This project focuses on collecting litter and disposing it in Santa Monica’s trash bins. If you are new to California, or Los Angeles, this is agreat way to help the environment, meet new friends, and enioy the ocean breeze. The team will leave USC for this site at or slightly before 10:00am.

By donating a few hours of your time, you’ll help us provide food for the 2 million people in Los Angeles County who face food insecurity. Volunteers help us by boxing, sorting, and gleaning food that is later distributed through our network of nearly 700 agency partners to our neighbors in need. This event will take place off-campus, but Lyft will be provided for everyone

As a reminder, we are having 11 GMs this semester. If you would like to make promotion requirements, one aspect of those requirements is having attended 8 General Meetings. Thus, if you have not yet attended a GM and would like to make promotion requirements, you’ll need to attend each of the remaining GMs this semester to fulfill the GM requirement.
